Meet the BEarFIT Team
Coach JD Berry is the owner and founder of BEarFIT Training Systems. His passion for lifting began at the age of 12 when he began strength training at the local YMCA to help him excel at sports. His love of sports and desire to succeed led him to training at the prestigious gym, Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning; the only gym of its type at that time. He began his coaching career in 2004 when he took over as the Offensive and Defensive Line Coach for the Wakefield High School Freshman Football team. While he was training in the gym, several athletes approached him about training for football. This led him to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Salem State University. While in college he interned and then was hired to work at Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning.
Coach then went on to help co-found the Warrior Strength and Conditioning Program at Wakefield High School, where he worked with high school athletes for four years before moving on to DeSimone Fitness for two years. He then decided to take his training expertise and open his own training facility in January 2016—BEarFIT Training Systems. He coached football and indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field at Wakefield High School for 15 years and has coached and trained student athletes to league, state, New England and national championships. Coach is continually looking to further his education to develop new skills and techniques to help athletes attain their fitness goals.
Coach is extremely passionate about strength and conditioning and is dedicated to helping student athletes and adults reach their athletic and personal goals. He has worked with numerous athletes and adults varying in sport and skill level and prides himself on being able to adapt every workout to the individual needs and goals of each individual.

Jillian Raso graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2018, earning her bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language and Child Development. She is the president and co-founder of Project S.E.L.F, a non profit organization dedicated to empowering young girls and fostering the development of self confidence, body positivity, and health/wellness. Jillian is a NASM certified personal trainer, and recently obtained her Performance Enhancement Specialist Certification. Specializing in youth and adult fitness, she also has a bachelors degree in American Sign Language and Early Childhood Development. She is passionate about fitness and loves being in the gym!
Sari is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, mother of two, and a licensed educator with seventeen years experience teaching at the high school level. She received her B.A. at The Pennsylvania State University and her M.Ed. at UMass Boston. Sari is passionate about boxing, lifting, and nutrition, and her goal is to help clients discover the athlete hidden within, and to uncover and develop that inner strength at any age or stage of life.
